It feels somewhat strange to just KNOW that I am on the road to a real healthy lifestyle, for the first time ever.

Why am I doing this?

I really need to pin down the answer to this question over the next couple of days.

I need to know for sure why I am dedicated to losing this weight for good.

Possible reasons for my doing this:

  • To be able to buy awesome clothes
  • To be fit enough to play sports
  • To find a relationship
  • To find myself
  • To show myself I can do it
  • To make *those people* wish they hadn’t said those things
  • To make up for all the hurt in the past
  • To succeed in a male-dominated working environment
  • To be more outgoing
  • To some day have a husband and babies



Reading that back, some of those things sound quite silly. But I need to know why I am putting so much effort into making this happen for myself.

Oh, I thought of another possible reason that I’m losing this weight:

  • I DESERVE IT.
